'Nigel Rhodes - Fine Art and Antique Dealer'
Born in Lincolnshire, Nigel was drawn to the world of fine art and antiques from a young age through his parents and a Great Aunt and Uncle. Surrounded by the works of Corot and Sir George Clausen, Nigel’s passion for antiques grew, and after a brief stint working at a local antiques shop, he opened his first gallery at the age of just twenty.
Since then Nigel has represented, and continues to represent a wide range of clients both nationally and internationally. He has sold paintings to National Trust homes, bought from and sold to museums, as well as dealt with artists of listed museum quality at affordable prices.
With an infectious passion for fine art and an intuitive sense of good taste, Nigel’s clients keep coming back, and what may start as a general conversation on art, often develops into building fine collections and on occasion furnishing entire homes.
Nigel understands the relationship between dealer and buyer is an important one, and because of this, endeavours to understand the tastes and budgets of all his clients, and use his expertise and contacts, both privately and in the trade, to locate the finest works to introduce to his clients.
